An Employer's Interview Area has been added to the line-up of events at the autobody industry celebration planed for Centennial College in Toronto on Feb. 28. Employers can gather resumes and speak directly with interested students from Centennial and other visiting schools.
From 1p.m. to 5 p.m., secondary schools, job development agencies and others are sending interested young people to Centennial College for tours of the newly refurbished autobody lab.
Staff from Ontario's Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, OYAP and Job Connect will be in attendance to also speak employers regarding grants or incentives that may exist to reduce hiring costs and the risk of hiring new people.
The event also includes tours of the college's improved autobody training facility, equipment demonstrations, dinner and an awards ceremony to honor companies that have made donations to apprenticeship and autobody training programs across Ontario.
As an incentive to secondary schools, the school that sends the most students to the student autobody facility tours will win a new car for their school's autobody lab.
Call Maria Park at 416-289-5000 x7310 for more Centennial College information or call 866-309-4272 for dinner tickets. Autobody Celebration tickets can also be ordered online at www.ciia.com
