Kirmac Collision’s new Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, location was designed to be one of the most technologically advanced in the company’s fleet. This will be the 23rd location for the Kirmac Group, simultaneously marking the milestone of the company's 40th year in business.
Operating out of a completely renovated 15,000-square-foot space, the new facility features the latest in technologically advanced repair equipment and processes including the first Italian manufactured Revo paint drying system to be installed in Canada.
"We are excited to be expanding our locations in B.C., especially with this Port Coquitlam facility," says Ian McIntosh, founder & CEO of Kirmac. "Not only does the new location signal continued growth for Kirmac in this increasingly competitive industry, but it demonstrates our commitment to advancing the future of collision repair in Canada."
The new site places the company on the leading edge of change in the collision repair industry, with new systems, equipment, and methods that specifically address the increasing complexity of repairing today's vehicles, as well as the customer's growing need for ease of access and confidence in receiving high quality repairs.
Among the advanced equipment the new shop boasts are a Festool Vacuum Sanding System; a Revo paint-drying system, featuring a semi-arch drier based on short wave infrared technology; a Bench Rack, a universal structural repair rack offering a collision repair system for cars, vans, and light trucks; and the Caro-O-Tronic Vision X3, the fastest, most accurate and easiest-to-use computerized vehicle measuring system available.
"After 40 years in business, we wanted to show our customers that Kirmac continues to be an innovator and champion of change in our market. We are happy for the opportunity to bring higher quality products and service with the Kirmac standard of customer care, to the auto repair needs of Tri City residents," adds Ian.
The new facility in Port Coquitlam, located at 3090 Westwood Street, will increase the number of Kirmac repair centres to 11 in Metro Vancouver and British Columbia, joining the 12 U.S. locations in the Greater Seattle area and Washington State.
